Nurses With Savvy was founded with one goal: to make healthcare easier to understand and navigate for real people, not just professionals. Behind this mission is a nurse who knows the system inside and out and more importantly, knows how it feels to be on the other side of it.
At Nurses With Savvy, we help families and healthcare professionals stay connected, informed, and supported through every step of the medical journey. We attend medical appointments alongside clients to help them understand their physician-directed treatment plans in plain language and assist with coordinating follow-up care, helping to reduce confusion, stress, and avoidable hospital readmissions.
Whether you're a caregiver managing a loved one’s health or a provider focused on continuity of care after discharge, we bridge the gap between medical teams and home life, so everyone can focus on what truly matters: better outcomes and peace of mind.
About your Nurses With Savvy Founder
I’m Nicole, a Licensed Nurse with a Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Management, a Certified Case Manager (CCM), and training in Six Sigma for healthcare quality. But more than that, I’m someone who knows how overwhelming the healthcare system can be.
I launched Nurses With Savvy with over a decade of clinical, operational, and utilization management experience, working in acute hospitals and at one of the largest managed care organizations outside of Kaiser. As a Case Manager, I saw families and caregivers who needed more time, guidance, and support—but the system doesn’t allow for it. I knew I had to be part of the solution.
My turning point came in 2018, when my husband had a stroke. Suddenly, I wasn’t just a nurse case manager; I was a wife, a caregiver, and a mom juggling a full-time job, young kids, and a complex healthcare maze. I assisted the care team with coordinating his hospital stay, transfer to acute rehab, medical equipment arrangements, and in-home service needs, utilizing my years in the industry and my unique skill sets—while also pursuing my bachelor’s degree at the same time. Additionally, I was overseeing the care of my aging parents, ensuring they had what they needed and stepping in when healthcare challenges arose. Like many in the sandwich generation, I was consistently balancing roles and responsibilities. I know what it’s like to manage it all and still feel like it’s not enough.
That experience taught me that families, caregivers, along with providers, need more than just instructions on paper—they need someone who understands healthcare as the system it is and can walk with them through it. That’s why I created Nurses With Savvy: to advocate, help coordinate care, and bring peace of mind to the people who need it most.

At Nurses With Savvy, we combine clinical experience with compassion to help families navigate a complex healthcare system that often leaves them overwhelmed. I’m not just a nurse, I’m your advocate, your interpreter, and your guide.
Whether you’re a family member, caregiver managing a loved one’s care, a patient facing tough decisions, or a provider looking for a trusted partner, I bring clarity, compassion, and real-world know-how to every case.
Here’s what makes Nurses With Savvy different:

“I don’t even know who to call.”
If you’ve ever said that or thought it when dealing with a healthcare issue, you’re not alone.
I’ve worked bedside and behind the scenes. I have sat with families who felt invisible. I’ve made calls, decoded paperwork, followed up with providers, and helped people get the care they didn’t know how to ask for.
Nurses With Savvy was started
because navigating care shouldn’t feel like a second job. Because caregivers deserve to be heard. Because your health journey deserves more than a rushed 15 minute MD office visit.
If you’re a patient, a family member, or a provider who knows this struggle firsthand, I’m here to help.
